Terms of Service​

University Preparations: Terms of Agreement

Effective Date: January 17, 2025

By using the services provided by University Preparations (“UP,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), you (“client,” “student,” or “you”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read this agreement carefully before proceeding with scheduling or using our consulting services.

1. Services Provided

University Preparations offers higher education advising and content creation services, which include:

1.1 Personalized one-on-one video consultations addressing:

  • Financial aid and scholarships.

  • Financial planning.

  • Enrollment processes (admissions through post-graduation).

  • Logistics for academic and social success.

  • Career Planning

1.2 Access to free resources, including articles, blogs, and a growing list of verified scholarships.

1.3 Tailored advice based on the client’s responses to the New Advisee Questionnaire.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 University Preparations does not replace your institution’s advisors, as they have access to internal institutional data. Instead, we supplement their guidance with personalized advice, tools, and strategies to maximize your educational experience.

2.2 The information and advice provided during consultations are based on the advisor’s extensive knowledge and experience but do not guarantee specific outcomes such as admissions, scholarships, or financial aid.

3. Scheduling Policies

3.1 Single Session Option:

  • You may schedule one session at a time.

  • Scheduling multiple sessions simultaneously without canceling prior appointments will result in the cancellation of all but the first scheduled session.

  • Appointments may only be scheduled up to 28 days in advance. For appointments beyond this period, clients must wait for the desired date to appear on the calendar.

3.2 Three Session Package Option:

  • You may schedule two additional sessions after the initial session.

  • Scheduling more than three sessions without canceling previous ones will result in the cancellation of all but the first three scheduled sessions.

  • Appointments may only be scheduled up to 28 days in advance. For appointments beyond this period, clients must wait for the desired date to appear on the calendar.

3.3 Clients must include their receipt’s Transaction ID number when scheduling sessions. This can be found in the confirmation email titled: “Welcome to University Preparations! Your Purchase is Confirmed – Essential Onboarding Information Inside.”

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

4.1 To cancel or reschedule an appointment, clients must notify University Preparations at least 24 hours before the scheduled time. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of the session payment.

4.2 Steps to Cancel or Reschedule:

  • Open the email titled “Invitation: University Preparations: 60-Minute Advising Session.”

  • Click the link after “Reschedule or cancel:”

  • Press the red “Cancel” button.

  • Click “Click here to book again” to select a new time.

  • Confirm via email that your previous session has been canceled.

4.3 Clients who schedule an appointment by accident within the 24-hour window may email us for case-by-case consideration of a refund or reschedule.

4.4 If all slots are booked, clients may:

  • Wait for their desired date to become available.

  • Contact us with their purchase confirmation to request a full refund.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 Preparation for Sessions:

  • Complete the New Advisee Questionnaire to the best of your ability to maximize the effectiveness of your session.

  • If possible, review relevant materials, such as the article “6 Powerful Topics to Maximize Your College Years,” before your session.

5.2 Technical Requirements:

  • Ensure access to a stable internet connection and a video conferencing platform compatible with our service.

  • Test your equipment prior to the session to avoid technical disruptions.

5.3 Clients are responsible for showing up on time for scheduled sessions. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time without refund.

6. Fees and Payment

6.1 All services must be paid for in advance through the payment methods provided on our website.

6.2 Payments are non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

  • University Preparations cancels the session and cannot reschedule.

  • The client requests a refund due to unavailability of desired appointment times, as outlined in Section 4.4.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 University Preparations is not liable for:

  • Decisions made by the client based on the advice provided during sessions.

  • Any financial, academic, or personal outcomes resulting from the use of our services.

7.2 While we strive to provide accurate and comprehensive information, University Preparations is not responsible for misinformation or errors related to policies, procedures, or resources at specific institutions.

8. Confidentiality

8.1 University Preparations will keep all client information and session content confidential, except as required by law.

8.2 Clients agree to respect the intellectual property of University Preparations, including the content provided during sessions, and not to distribute or reproduce it without explicit permission.

8.3 We may use anonymized data for content creation and improvement of our services, but no personally identifiable information will be shared without the Client’s express permission.

9. Termination of Services

University Preparations reserves the right to terminate services for clients who:

  • Violate the terms of this agreement.

  • Exhibit disrespectful or inappropriate behavior toward staff.

  • Misuse our resources or services.

10. Amendments

University Preparations reserves the right to update or amend these Terms of Agreement at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the Client will be notified of significant changes. Continued use of our services after such updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
